Creating a More Hopeful Future

We believe an active faith requires us to love our neighbors, addressing needs in our community and around the world. For over 120 years, members of First Christian Church of Edmond have responded to needs by developing new initiatives, and forging generative partnerships. Through the years we’ve formed a Child Care Center, a weekday food program called Breakfast on Boulevard, and joined with neighbors to establish Edmond’s HOPE Center. We are Here FOR Edmond and Here FOR Good! There is more good to be done. Join us!

Serve In The Community

Breakfast on Boulevard

Help us feed our neighbors in need. There are three ways you can serve. 1) Be a weekday morning volunteer and help cook and serve breakfast, fill sack lunches, and clean-up. Contact us to learn days/times currently available. 2) MAKE SANDWICHES or 3) BAKE COOKIES. Just click the links to select from available list of dates. Making sandwiches and baking cookies are things you can do by yourself or with your family or friends.

Ida Freeman Elementary - Food Ministry

Help us ensure students in greatest need have food to prevent hunger each weekend during the school year. We receive donations of shelf-stable food items such as canned chicken, canned tuna, heat-and-eat rice pouches, canned black or pinto beans, Knorr’s noodle pouches, applesauce, and fruit cups.

Each week during the school year volunteers:

1) SHOP for fresh fruit for weekend meal kits & PACK weekend meal kits (Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday)
3) PICK UP Food Bank Bags from Ida Freeman and add to our weekend meal kits (Thursday mornings)
4) DELIVER food to students homes (porch drops - Thursday or Friday afternoons)

Sign up to help serve! CONTACT: Shelley Regan Director of Community Engagement 405.414.3544 to receive detailed instructions for each task.

Serve In the Church

Serve Coffee - Join Our Brew Crew

Help us keep the coffee brewed and donuts ready! Serving as a coffee bar host is less than 2 hours on a Sunday morning. Choose dates and your preferred from our sign up list. Orientation provided. Come meet some great people!

Serve as a Greeter on Sundays

Serving as a greeter may seem like a small thing, but it makes a huge difference in the first impression we leave on our guests. Most greeters pick from one of three shifts, and serve one Sunday a month. Want to greet? Let us know.

Party & Event Hospitality Team

Do you love to throw a party? Our Hospitality team hosts receptions, brunches, and special events. Help with any of the following: plan menus, create décor, help decorate and set-up, buy supplies, prepare food, serve food, and clean-up. Let us know you’d like to help and we will get you plugged in.

Disciples4Water

Disciples4Water establishes, trains and supports local teams of water well drillers dedicated to providing clean water in the Democratic Republic of Congo. To date this initiative has drilled more than 70 wells in the DRC where we also support water-related healthcare, education and agriculture projects through direct funding and in-kind donations.

Breakfast on Boulevard

Since 1990 Breakfast on Boulevard has been serving free hot breakfasts and sack lunches on weekdays from 6:30am to 7:15am. Funded and staffed by donations and volunteers from across the Edmond community, Breakfast on Boulevard feeds the people of God with no questions asked.

We Are Better Together

We believe in the collective good that can be accomplished by partnering with other organizations that are working to make a difference in the local community and across the globe.
