GIVE

Our Stewardship of Resources

The ministry we do at First Christian, in the community and in the world is funded by financial gifts from members and friends. Through good stewardship of these gifts we offer spiritual and meaningful worship, mission trips, educational opportunities, pastoral care, outreach, and ways to connect, grow, serve and care.

Making a Year-long Financial Commitment

Every fall we ask our members to share an Estimate of Giving as we make plans for our ministry in the coming year. These estimates of giving enable us to accurately establish ministry budgets for the coming year and make the most of the resources committed to God's work through us. Even if you can only make a limited financial commitment, we ask everyone to submit their Estimate of Giving.

I want to submit my Estimate of Giving to First Christian’s General Fund and/or Building Fund.

We realize that determining how much you can give to the church for the year in advance can be challenging, and your circumstances may change. You can always adjust your pledge, up or down, at any time throughout the year.

I want to modify my current pledge to First Christian General Fund and/or Building Fund.

Statements of Giving

In an effort to reduce administrative costs and waste, and to be better stewards of God’s resources, we now send quarterly and year-end Statements of Giving via email rather than through the postal service for all donors whose email addresses we have in our records. This will greatly reduce the amount of postage, envelopes, paper and staff time involved with statement mailings. If you prefer to receive a paper statements, please state this preference in an email to Business Administrator, Karla Mahan. Thank you for helping us be good stewards of God’s gifts!

Dollars & Sense

Each month our Finance Committee meets to review giving and spending, and prepares an analysis called Dollars & Sense. Posted following monthly Finance meetings, you can read the current Dollars & Sense Report mid-month in our newsletter, The Chalice Connection
