Rev. Dr. John Regan joined the First Christian Church staff as the Executive Minister in January of 2015. This is his second stint on staff, having previously served from 1994 to 2003 as an Associate Minister. 

On his long and wandering ecumenical journey he discovered the Disciples of Christ between soccer matches and changing his major several times at Texas Christian University. He graduated from TCU with a BA in Liberal Studies (1984) and received his MDiv (1988) & DMin (1995) from Vanderbilt Divinity School. 

John is passionate about soccer, learning, playing cards, watching spy movies (okay, almost ANY movie), and reading biographies. He has also never been disappointed by homemade ice cream or pie. 

John is married to Shelley Regan who serves our church as Director of Community Engagement. They have two adult children, Anna and Sam.
