Rev. Mark Taylor Receives Sabbatical

Rest and renewal are essential to the life of the spirit. Jesus himself stepped away from the crowds to pray, and that holy rhythm is meant for all of us, including those who spend their days tending to others.
Throughout October, Rev. Mark Taylor, our Minister of Faith Development, will be on sabbatical. For over 15 years, Mark has helped this congregation grow in faith through classrooms, youth gatherings, and worship. His creativity and care also shape our communications and the technology that supports so much of our life together. So much of what flourishes here has roots in his faithful attention. Our personnel committee is thrilled to offer Mark this time to rest, renew, and enjoy the relationships that sustain him.
Mark’s colleagues will care for these ministries while he is away. You may contact Desi Stout about youth ministry and John Regan with pastoral concerns or other questions.
We ask you to give Mark the gift of being fully away by holding calls, texts, and emails until we welcome him back in November. The life we share is held by God, even when one of us steps away. May this be a season in which Mark rests deeply and receives the care of God he so often helps others experience.
