Regional Assembly 2026

March 6–7 at First Christian Church Edmond

CONTACT: Rev. Dr. John Regan, Executive Minister jregan@fccedmond.org 405.341.3544

This March, our church will host the Regional Assembly of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Clergy, lay leaders, and guests from across the region and beyond will gather for worship, learning, and service. It is a meaningful moment for the wider church and a special opportunity for our congregation to extend a generous welcome. The Assembly makes space for connection across generations, hands-on service, thoughtful conversation, and music. At the heart of the weekend is worship, including the installation of Rev. Michael A. Davison Jr. as Regional Minister and preaching and leadership from Rev. Terri Hord Owens, General Minister and President of the Disciples of Christ.

Friday evening will feature a Dinner Church worship experience led by Rev. Dr. Virginia White, a pastor and scholar from the University of Chicago Divinity School whose ministry centers on open tables and spacious faith. The worship will be followed by music and stories with Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter Carrie Newcomer, whose songs speak to staying rooted in hope, compassion, and our shared humanity.

It is a weekend designed to nourish faith and strengthen relationships. Hosting the Regional Assembly allows us to live out our commitment to open tables and spacious faith while participating in the larger story of our church. To register visit https://okdisciples.org/ra2026/
