Chili, Community, and Care
As the fall breeze begins to blow in, nothing warms you up quite like a bowl of homemade chili. And if you’ve got a recipe everyone loves, now’s your chance to share your talents with the rest of the church! On Sunday, November 2, FCC will host a Chili Cookoff, a festive gathering where fun competition meets love in action. To enter, cooks donate $15 to the Benevolence Fund, which provides emergency assistance year-round, helping neighbors keep the lights on, pay rent, or stay warm in winter.
Here’s the FUN: guests get to taste a variety of chilis, vote for favorites with a donation, and then enjoy a bowl or two while cheering on the winners. The top three cooks who gather the most donations will be our winners, but the real prize is knowing every pot helps neighbors in need.
You don’t have to be a chili cook to make a difference. You can sign up to bring Fritos, cheese, crackers, brownies, or other sides that make the meal complete. Want to enter your chili or bring a side from the wish list?
