Bedlam Food Drive - Choose Your Team, Feed Our Community!

CONTACT: Shelley Regan, Director of Community Engagement sregan@fccedmond.org 405.341.3544

Fall is here, football is in full swing, and while the official OU/OSU rivalry may be on pause, the competition is alive and well at First Christian Church Edmond! This October we are hosting another Bedlam Food Drive to support our partner school, Ida Freeman Elementary. It is your chance to show your school colors and make a difference for kids right here in our community.

Here’s How It Works:

  • Every Sunday or Wednesday in October bring your food donations and drop them in either the Crimson OU or Orange OSU bin in the lobby.

  • The rivalry kicks off on World Communion Sunday, October 5 —so make sure to put on your game face and donations as we show up to help Ida Freeman Elementary students THRIVE!

  • We’ll give a half-time report after the second Sunday so you can see which team is in the lead!

  • The final score will be announced on November 2.

  • Feeling extra competitive? You can also donate money at fccedmond.org/give (every dollar = 1 item for your team, just be sure to designate Ida Freeman Offering - Team Crimson OR Team Orange when you donate.) We’ll use the funds to shop for the items we need to fill in the gaps for the weekend meal kits we pack and deliver.

Here’s The Wish List:

  • Breakfast bars

  • Cheerios and other kid-friendly cereals

  • Fruit cups

  • Peanut butter

  • Grape or strawberry jelly (plastic jars only)

  • Cans of chili, chicken noodle, or vegetable beef soup

  • Cans of ravioli or spaghettios

  • Canned black beans

  • Kraft mac and cheese

  • Canned chicken or tuna

Whether you’re backing OU or OSU, we’re all winners when we come together to feed hungry kids. Let’s keep the Bedlam spirit alive this October by filling those bins—and stomachs!
