Graceful Departures

Preparing for When You Are Gone

CONTACT: Rev. Dr. Chris Shorow, Senior Minister cshorow@fccedmond.org 405.341.3544
Most of us intend to make end-of-life plans, yet it’s easy to put those conversations off. In a culture that fears talking about death, families are often left to make difficult decisions in moments of grief. A Graceful Departure invites us to approach this sacred season with courage, intention, and love.

This thoughtful two-part series explores both the spiritual and practical sides of end-of-life preparation. Our first session in the fall of 2025 explored the sacredness of life and death and practical guidance on funeral planning.

Our second session “A Graceful Departure: Planning Wisely and Leaving a Legacy of Love”will be held Sunday, February 15 at 12:15 PM. Our Lunch & Learn format features practical estate-planning guidance and reflections on simplifying and sharing possessions with intention, and crafting an ethical will that passes on your faith, values, and love to future generations. Lunch and materials provided. Registration required. Contact Iris Muno Jordan ijordan@fccedmond.org or register here.
