Each spring, the fifth grade class (and any sixth graders not-yet baptized) participate in a retreat and a series of classes preparing them for church membership, baptism and their first communion. Led by the ministerial staff of First Christian Church, this class may be seen as a rite of passage before kids move in to the church's Student Ministry Program.
