Nursery

A Note to Parents

What a joy it is to have your child in our nursery! We believe your child is a special gift from God. We want your child to feel welcome and a part of our program through the people and activities that God has placed in this ministry area.

We believe infants and toddlers are important members of our faith community. Our nursery rooms are nestled in the south east corner of our Education building

Your child is very special to us. We do our utmost to provide the loving care he or she needs. You will find nursery guidelines listed below. We feel they reflect the high standards necessary to maintain proper care for your little ones. Your cooperation will be greatly appreciated.

With these guidelines in mind, we hope to help you lay the foundation of faith and trust which will prepare your child for a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Nursery Guidelines

General Information

  • Nursery facilities will be open 15 minutes prior to regular church services and approximately 15 minutes after church services.
  • We provide nursery care for children birth through 2 years of age during Sunday morning worship services and during the Sunday School hour. Childcare may be provided for other occasions for children birth through 5th grade.
  • When bringing your child to the nursery, please sign your child in at our Nursery Sign-In Center.
  • If you are a new parent or visitor, you will be asked to fill out an information card for your child.
  • For safety reasons, parents and siblings are asked not to enter the nursery rooms. A staff member will greet your child at the door.
  • Please say good-byes quickly. lingering with an anxious child prevents us from involving him or her in classroom activities.
  • A parent should pick up the child IMMEDIATELY following the service or function.
  • Children may be brought to the nursery only if the parent(s) or adult guardian(s) wish to attend a church service or function.
  • It is strongly suggested that babies and toddlers not be left for a period longer than 3-4 hours. Children become very tired and frustrated when left for long periods of time. We want them to have a positive attitude about church and God.
  • If our caregivers are unable to console your child within 15 minutes, we will contact you to return to the nursery.
  • We also provide two cry rooms (rooms 116 & 117) to accommodate those parents wishing to keep their children during the 9:00 and 11:00 worship services.
