Life Is Transformed In Loving Others
We are excited you are interested in serving and making a difference in the lives of others through volunteer service at First Christian.
We are called by Christ to minister to one another and to the world. We promote upcoming service opportunities in our
newsletter.
To help you partner your talents and gifts with the needs within our church and in the community, we are designing an on-line serving tool. You’ll be able to browse volunteer opportunities and sign up to make a difference.
In the meantime, we invite you to let us know where you would like to serve through our
Volunteer Interest Form. A staff member or ministry leader will contact you to give you details.
Not sure where to serve?
Please get in touch with one of our ministers,
Rev. Chris Shorow or
Rev. Dr. Jerry Black. Either would be happy to visit with you about some of the great ways to get involved and help you find a place where you can start to serve at First Christian.
Students serve year round at places like the Jesus House, and each summer take mission trips away from home.
Kids discover the joy of serving through their Sunday school groups, their participation in UNITE, and through Vacation Bible School.
Each of these three areas always teach kids of the joy of serving.
Breakfast on Boulevard
Through a ministry called "Breakfast on Boulevard" (shortened to BOB) we have been serving the hungry of the Edmond community since 1990. Free hot breakfast and sack lunches are served Monday through Friday from 6:30am to 7:30am.
Funded and staffed by donations and volunteers from across the Edmond community, Breakfast on Boulevard feeds the people of God with no questions asked.
The entrance to Breakfast on Boulevard is located along Boulevard between First and Second Streets. Patrons and volunteers follow the blue sign, and enter our basement. Volunteers shop for groceries, coordinate volunteer schedules, cook, serve and clean. Let us know if you would like to
serve at Breakfast on Boulevard.
Hands On Mission Projects
