‘Let love and faithfulness never leave my children, but bind these twin virtues’ around their necks and write them on the tablet of their hearts. (Proverbs 3:3)
We have studied, as the Lord has certainly encouraged us to do, but sometimes we are amiss in what He’s having our impact be with society.
Could it be at the outset, the Lord is just challenging us, through the ordinary, to design a unique approach on things? He wants us to do this rather than taking tangents? Sometimes, with a voice clamoring in us for the divergent path, we settle for the mundane.
Please consider as the Lord puts it in His scripture from Luke 18:16:
Jesus, (calling the children to him) says – “Let the little Children come to Me, and do not hinder Them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to These.”
In a Devotional I’m reading called Jesus Calling by Sarah Young, I noticed she stipulates for us to set our sights on the so-called High Road with Him (our Jesus). I suspect since we are God’s workmanship; created to do good works, He will be preparing for us to make that kind of impact in our lives. Don’t you agree?
God, we thank you for making our children so special to us. Keep them close and help them mature in more Christ-like ways. Amen
