Diane Ball grew up on a farm near the big metropolis of Dover, Oklahoma where she showed pigs and sheep at the county fair, drove the tractor, and played basketball with Dover Public School. She sang her first solo in church when she was five years old, and knew that she wanted to make music her career. After high school, Diane attended Oklahoma City University where she earned both her undergraduate (Bachelor of Music) and graduate (Master of Music) degrees in Vocal Performance, studying voice with Florence Birdwell.
Before being called as the Music Minister at First Christian Church, Diane taught voice privately in her home for twenty years, and spent nine years teaching voice and music classes at Mid America Christian University.
Her family includes her husband of over thirty years, Larry Ball, and her three grown children, Addison, Hayden and Hallie.
