Sunday School for KIDS “Walk With Me” – 10:00 to 10:50am
Sunday School classes are a great way to get your kids involved deeper in the life of the church. Kids make new friends and learn some of the great stories of the Bible. Our curriculum, Walk With Me, offers the chance to do just that and more. Walk with me… into a terrific Sunday school experience!
KIDS classes are led by teams of three teachers who share leadership in teaching and assisting one another each week. You may not see the same teacher in your child’s class each week, but you can rest assured they are present in growing a bond with each member of the class. Meeting and knowing other adults who share similar beliefs in Christ and a love for the church and its children allows kids the opportunity to grow in their own faith, outside the walls of their home.
Our “Walk With Me” Curriculum
• Encourages each child to know, love, and serve God.
• Grows Faith – children are encouraged to live out their faith.
• Builds community—children learn to care for others, encourage each other, learn together.
• Teaches children the stories of Scripture, from Genesis to Revelation.
• Helps children understand biblical truths.
• Challenges children and leaders to live their faith.
• Equips children to share their faith and serve others in the community.
• Celebrates Diversity – children learn the value of a diverse world by learning about the rich diversity of people in God’s kingdom. Kids will be challenged often to see truths and hear stories in ways that may be new to them—and through their learning to grow in a love of and appreciation for all parts of God’s family.
• Is Fun—the gospel is good news so learning it should be fun!
• Is Kid-Friendly – sessions are fun and active. Activities appeal to the diverse ways children learn and their differing developmental levels. Games, drama, music, and other fun activities will keep your child eager to come back for more. It’s our goal—and we hope it becomes yours—to make Sunday school a time kids don’t want to miss!
Infants and Toddlers
A nursery is provided for infants and toddlers from 8 a.m. to noon. A short age-appropriate “lesson” is presented to toddlers during the 9:30 education hour. Pagers are available.
Children's Worship
Each Sunday our preschoolers experience Sprouts Children’s Worship during our 9:00 and 11:00 services.
KIDS Summer Sunday School
During summer months ages 3 years through 4th grade meet together in Fellowship Hall North to learn and grow together, studying the same story and participating in age-appropriate learning experiences (games, crafts and mission opportunities). The class meets from 10:00 to 10:50. Volunteer support is always welcomed.
The 5th grade class, “Believers,” meets throughout the summer months in the Chapel Basement, room 1. Kay Mades and Jim Little lead this class with a light breakfast and great discussion!
Vacation Bible School
A week long event each summer filled with music, drama and games — lots of fun!
