Make sure your family knows what to do in case of a fire emergency! Have an evacuation plan with two ways to escape. Make sure everyone knows how to get out and find a safe place to meet. Everyone should know how to dial 911, even small children but call from a safe place. Make sure fire extinguishers are accessible and full. Install and check fire alarms. Don’t forget the pets! Firemen have the job of putting out fires and making sure that everyone is safe. They have all the knowledge and equipment needed to put out the fire so don’t try to put it out yourself if it is not contained.
